Despite clock's diary, I may get a $2 cup of coffee. Why? I may need more data to determine whether that girl is German or not. Or even whether she's here (determining her schedule).

I have a pile of work to do. It's do-able. It's not great, but it's there. I'm trying very hard to work up the will to do it. I also have a bunch of terrible craptastical ugly work to do. For tomorrow. Afternoon, at least.

But that's not why I'm a monster.

I guess I made a few mistakes. I will discuss some things which weren't mistakes, or at least weren't of that magnitude.

I got up late this morning and rushed out to catch the last train that could get me there in a reasonable semblance of "on time" - 9ish - and found when I got to the station I had forgotten my work badge. Not too big of a problem, but I also have my train monthly pass in there. There's an 8:41 and an 8:46 train at that station, then there's a half hour between trains. I had been gunning for the 8:41 but couldn't turn it around in time to get to the 8:46 even though I live half a block from the station. So I dicked around for half an hour and rode the train in. And here I am.

So the other day, I was sitting on the porch, eating some cheese, drinking some Festina Pêche. For some reason I always get the words for "fish", "peach", and "sin" mixed up in French. The latter two are comprehensible, but the first is a bit odd. Must be some Romantic confusion going on.

There was some utterly American girl manning the counter.

I have Diversity training this afternoon! The topic: working in an intergenerational workforce. This should be helpful, since I my coworkers are generally older than my parents.

I feel like I should get decent at games that are like the Scrabble-brand word game. Not, like, tournament-level intense where you memorize and drill stupid word lists, but as decent as you can get without doing so. I mean, I'd be willing to learn the 2-letter and some of the 3-letter words and purely practical vocabulary, but nothing beyond that.

There will be no summary executions.

I am not a very "engaged" employee at the moment.

I hate everything about the way you choose to be.
